WFT AGM at FarmED

We are really excited for the 2023 AGM! We're doing things a bit differently this year with a little schedule of events, including a delicious lunch.

The meeting will be held on November 18th in the beautiful space that is the FarmED conference barn, at Honeydale Farm, Station Road, Shipton-under-Wychwood, OX7 6BJ.

There'll be a brief round-up of the year's activities and progress on our nature reserves, including a short film about Gibbets Close Hill. Neil will then award prizes to the winners of our 2023 photo competition.

We also have a great talk lined up from Ian Wilkinson, WFT trustee and founder of FarmED, titled 'FarmED - Not just for farmers'. If you are interested in food production, carbon sequestration or how wildlife fits on Oxfordshire farmland, this talk is for you. Farmland occupies 72% of the UK, so what we do on it counts. Ian will address the dilemmas facing farmers and how they may adapt to meet new challenges.⁣

That will be followed by a complimentary light buffet lunch. This is a good chance to mingle and chat with the other guests, and to admire the competition winning photographs which will be on display in the hall. The day will finish with an optional guided walk around the farm led by Ian.

The new WFT 2024 calendar featuring the 12 winning photos will be on sale at £9.99. It would make a lovely Christmas present for nature lovers! All the proceeds go to help us continue our work looking after nature in the Wychwood Forest area.

The event is free to attend, however we are issuing tickets on a first come, first served basis to help us manage numbers. Tickets are free from our website - book now by going to the WHAT'S ON section.
